Programmable Media

Step 5: Set up and run your first SDK project

Last updated: Dec-11-2024

Now that you've got an idea of what you can accomplish with Cloudinary's Programmable Media, it's time to get set up with an SDK using your favorite programming language.

~8 minutes

Task 1: Try an SDK Quick Start

All of the SDK quick starts are designed to get you up and running with a short end-to-end project in 5 minutes or less!

  1. Pick your favorite language below.

    • Choose a backend SDK quick start if you're interested in programmatic upload and asset management along with transformations and optimizations.
    • Choose a frontend SDK quick start you're looking to use Cloudinary for transformations and optimizations in a pure client-side app.
    • Choose a mobile quick start or guide if you're planning to deliver Cloudinary assets in a mobile app.
  2. Perform your selected quick start and come back here for task 2 when you're done.

Task 2: Optional. Take a look at community libraries for other popular frameworks

In addition to the many Cloudinary-supported SDKs, developers from the Cloudinary community have developed a variety of integration libraries for other popular frameworks, such as Next.js, Nuxt.js, Laravel, and more, in coordination with Cloudinary.

While these community libraries are maintained by the community and not officially supported by Cloudinary, some of them are quite popular with Cloudinary users and we encourage you to try them out and contribute to them!
