New features

New PowerFlow block: Image to Video

Bring your product photos and static creatives to life. The new Image to Video block turns any Cloudinary image into a short AI-generated video clip, ready to use for social media, ads, and product pages without manual video production. This block is currently in Beta.

New PowerFlow blocks: generate images with AI

Create the images you need instead of sourcing them. Two new blocks generate an image from a text prompt using the Cloudinary Image Generation add-on, and store the result in your product environment ready for delivery and transformation:

• Generate An Image From Text builds an image from a prompt alone.
• Generate An Image From A Reference takes an existing asset as a visual guide, so new images stay consistent with a product shot or brand style.

Both blocks let you pick the AI model family, such as Nano Banana, Flux, or GPT Image, along with the aspect ratio, quality, and resolution.

AI-recommended blocks in the 'Add a block' dialog

With AI suggestions enabled in the Add a block dialog, searching for a block returns AI-recommended blocks that match your intention rather than exact block names.

One Condition block for simple and advanced logic

Branching your flow now takes one block instead of two. Build a condition from guided fields by choosing what you're comparing, whether that's text, a number, a date, a true/false value, or a list, and the Condition block offers the operators that make sense for it. For anything the guided fields can't express, switch on Advanced condition and write a JsonLogic expression instead.

The Complex Condition block is no longer available for use in new flows. Existing flows that already use it are unaffected.

Add structured metadata when exporting video transcriptions

Export subtitles into product environments that require metadata on every asset. The Export Video Transcription block now lets you set structured metadata on the generated subtitle file, so those uploads no longer fail.

New PowerFlows open as a draft until saved

Try out a flow idea without cluttering your flow list with abandoned attempts. A new PowerFlow, whether from a template or from scratch, now opens as a draft in the canvas and isn't created until you save, test, or enable it. While it's a draft, Live Logs, Flow Notifications, and History Logs are disabled, and hovering over a disabled action explains what saving the flow enables. You can still set flow variables and flow secrets on a draft; they carry over automatically when you save the flow for the first time.

Reference a failed block's error from its error path

Find out what actually went wrong, not just that something did. Blocks on a failing block's error path can now reference the caught error as a variable, the same way you'd insert any other block's response, so you can log it, send it in a notification, or branch on it.

Sort flows by status

See which of your flows are live at a glance. You can now sort by status on the Flows page, grouping active and disabled flows together instead of scanning a long mixed list.

Environment variable and flow secret key validation

Catch a mistyped key before a flow fails on it. Environment variable and flow secret keys are now validated when you save them, so unsupported characters are flagged straight away.

Notifications are scoped to your product environment

The Notifications page and unread count now show only the notifications from the product environment you're working in, so switching environment no longer mixes in notifications from elsewhere. When you pick a user group as a notification recipient, group members without access to that product environment aren't notified.

A redesigned PowerFlow canvas

Large flows are about to get much easier to follow. The PowerFlow canvas is getting a significant overhaul:

• Structured layout: Blocks will be arranged automatically in a top-down flow, so the order of execution is clear at a glance and you no longer need to position blocks yourself.
• A clearer starting point: The trigger block will stand out visually as the entry point of the flow.
• Easier editing on the canvas: Adding a block, inserting one between two existing blocks, and removing a connection will all be done directly on the canvas.
• Problems that are easier to spot: Blocks that still need configuring, inputs that aren't connected, and branches that have become disconnected from the flow will be highlighted, and a new minimap will show where those problems are in a large flow.
• Clearer branching: Parallel paths and condition outputs will be easier to follow.

Updated block names and categories

Block names and the categories they're grouped into are being reviewed and updated to make it clearer what each block does. Searching the Add a block dialog will keep finding a block by the name you already know it by, as well as by what you want it to do. No change to your existing flows.
